Reality Check…..

Do something for 21 days.. it becomes a habit, a study says.. (or so my sis says!)

May be the study is a myth and it takes longer than that to form a new habit. Why does it never take more time to get used to the holidays!

This is one of the longest ever vacation I have ever had in years. And definitely a long one that I spent with my niece since she was five months old. The vacation was not a productive one. But it sure was fun. I got to binge watch movies continuously that I have been adding up to my to-watch list for more than six months now. And, I witnessed my first snow (Cliche alert! 😂). And ate and slept on repeat mode without having anything at all to do or worry about!

My niece and I have taken a liking to irritate and disturb each other, every chance we get! But but.. we partner up in watching TV like best friends. I find something interesting only if she does that. Ice cream.. TV series.. Strawberry Milkshake.. And the biggest competition arises when we have to decide on who gets to keep the stationery we purchase or happen to get (Yes! Stationery). We would never use them though!! We are the collectors! 😂 This vacation saw a lot of fights between my niece and I. While we come to a compromise most of the time, my sister had to placate us a few times now!

We have to score points to be on the good book of my niece. Play with her, watch tv series and movies (Barbie, Tinker Bell, Lego Friends, Shopkins and many more); you score 😀 Aaand.. She was super jealous I got to sleep until 10 o’clock in the mornings while she had to get ready to school. But I have never seen a kid who enjoys going to school as much as my Shrinu does. Just the morning routine of getting ready that she does not like. 😂 And more jealous that I get to use my mobile at my will.. hee hee..

She basically treats me like her elder sister and feels realllllllyyyyy awkward to call me ‘Aunt’ and its equally awkward to hear her call me so, too! May be she was thinking of me that way when she was little but she understands it all better now.. the treatment never changed though!! 😂

All good things must come to an end.. as does this vacation!

God I am going to miss it all, until next time!!
