I like reading books. Particularly, those that others say are very good to get to know whether it is my genre or not.
Just for the sake of knowing what made them so very special that made others like them so much. That is basically how my reading habit started. I did not grow up reading children’s books, comics or fairy tales. I was not a great book lover in teens too. I am one now, though!
One such read was the Harry Potter series. I do not hate it. Neither do I like it. Oh yes! Surprised?! May be because I read it after my teens that it did not please as well as it did the most. Despite that, I love watching this series. There are only a few books that get made into “good” films.
That which really pulled me into the world of reading is the “Twilight Saga”. This is one of the most popularly hated series in any book reading community. But I just keep reading and re-reading this whenever I have nothing else to do 😛
I just got obsessed with the dystopian fictions so much for a while. When the world we currently live in is not so ideal, every story does give a background of why the world becomes a ‘not-so-good’ place to live in, which gives us a peek of the futuristic vision of what the society could bring upon itself. Can we learn enough to leave the world a better place to live in, for our future generations?!
